Sercenk Yücel graduated from the Mathematics - Computer Department of Çankaya University and the Dance Department of Girne American University Faculty of Performing Arts. Yucel is also a Level 2 Modern Dance Coach affiliated with the Turkish Republic Ministry of Youth and Sports General Directorate. He began his dance career in 2003 with the functional dance education system. He received training in Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz Dance, Modern Dance, Contemporary Dance, Tap, Poppin, and Lockin styles. He also received training in Latin dances such as Cha Cha, Samba, and Rumba, and achieved success in the TDSF ODTÜ Republic Cup Couples Dance competition. In 2008, he became the TDSF Show and Freestyle Central Anatolia Regional Champion (TDSF Şov ve Serbest Stil İç Anadolu Bölge Birincisi) and the TDSF Freestyle Turkey Champion. He participated in the 'Benimle Dans Eder Misin' Summer Fire in 2009. In 2010, he participated in the Burn to Dance competition organized by Coca Cola - Burn company with the Big Bang group and achieved success. Between 2011 and 2016, he served as a dance instructor, organizer, and director at Girne American University Stage School. He joined the Delivery Dogs dance group in 2012. From 2012 to 2016, he received education in Ballet, Modern Dance, Choreography, Improvisation, and Music Analysis at Girne American University Faculty of Performing Arts, obtaining a 4-year dance diploma. In 2013, he won first place in the 5th Dance Marathon (Inter-Universities Dance Competition) with the dance group he participated in. He was a finalist in the UDO (United Dance Organisation) European Street Dance Championship in Germany with the Delivery Dogs group and was a 1st Round, 2nd Round, and Semi-Finalist in the 'Yetenek Sizsiniz Türkiye' competition in 2013-2014 with the same group. Between 2014 and 2016, he served as an academic assistant, coordinator, and student advisor at Girne American University Faculty of Performing Arts. In 2015-2016, he was an academic assistant in Modern Dance, Ballet, and Ballet Repertoire classes at Girne American University Faculty of Performing Arts. In 2016, he passed the dance audition opened by the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Modern Dance Ensemble. At Ankara State Opera and Ballet's Modern Dance Ensemble, Sercenk Yücel has worked and continues to work as a dancer in works such as 'Frida,' 'Cinderella,' 'Carmen,' 'Paris Life,' 'La Traviata,' 'Tango's,' 'Güldestan,' 'None of Us,' 'Numbness,' 'Ayşe Operetta,' 'Troy,' 'Dancing with Vivo Quartet,' 'Gangster,' 'O Superman,' 'When the Children Cry,' 'MDT 30th Anniversary 93/23,' 'Payidar,' and 'International III.' Additionally, he served as a choreographer assistant in the works 'Gangster' and 'None of Us.' In 2019, he participated in the 'Solo Contemporary Dance Festival' organized by Cermodern. He has taught Contemporary Dance at Bilkent University, Çankaya University, ODTÜ Contemporary Dance Ensemble, and Hacettepe University HÜDAST Dance Sports Club.
Engaging in modern, contemporary, and hip-hop dance instruction and choreography, Sercenk Yücel has participated in numerous projects after receiving training from instructors and choreographers such as Galip Emre, Özgür Adam İnanç, Deniz Alp, Serhat Güdül, Mafalda Deville, Lukas Mcframe, Oleg Manukovsky, Liat Waysbort, Ido Tadmor, Lloyd Miles, Jack Timmermans, Lisa Wetton, Bettina Heinrich, Avees Stpehan, Terese Freedman, Jim Coleman, Michail Kriempardis, Eliane Roumie, Susana Manso, Suzie Heijari, Miriam Engel, James Sutherland, Tu Hoang, Dong Kyu Kim and Günce Yöney.
