PAOLO VİLLA
Born in Milan in 1973, he studied at Scuola Civica di Musica (civic music school) and
obtained a diploma in piano at Academy of Music “G.B. Martini” in Bologna;
He studied for two years at High Specialization Academy of Russian School in Chioggia
(Venice);
He attended a Composition course at Academy of Music “G.Verdi” in Milan, where he
attended also courses for Opera coach and Vocal Chamber Music;
He obtained a certificate in Harpsichord at the same Academy of Music in Milan;
He attended several specialization courses for Italian opera, before as opera coach and
after as conductor;
Course for coach opera and Musical Analysis Laboratory for orchestra scores in Milan;
“Gubbio Festival” in Umbria;
Master for conductor in Todi Academy (Umbria) and in Como at Teatro Sociale;
In 2001 he obtained a diploma in Conductorship in Lyrical Opera at “R. Accademia
Filarmonica” in Bologna; after he collaborated with this Academy as Assistant.
He worked as opera coach at several Master class and International competition;
“International competition A. Colzani”; “International competition G. Taddei” and after
Master class with Maestro Taddei; “International master for singers V. Terranova”;
“International master” in Budrio-Bologna; Stage “The music of Puccini”.
Several collaboration with musical company;
“As.Li.Co.” Association in Milan in the project “Opera tomorrow...” for the production of
operas for children; “OpeCam” and “Felix Company”, two Milanese companies where he
worked as opera coach and he made one’s debut as conductor in “Barbiere di Siviglia”,
“Traviata”, “Trovatore”, “L’elisir d’amore”;
“Edipo” in Bologna for operettas;
He worked many years with the lyric association “Scena Musicale” in Bologna as a pianist,
opera coach and conductor. Assistant for the operas “Madama Butterfly”, “Tosca”,
“Boheme”, “Pagliacci”, “Die Fledermaus” and principal conductor for “Canterina”,
“Dirindina”, “Il maestro di musica” and “Il barbiere di Siviglia”.
From 2004 he started to collaborate with “Academy R. Leoncavallo” in Milan.
In 2005 he started to work with State opera in Smirne (Turkey) as opera coach and
cembalist; the next year he became musical responsible for Italian repertoire and he made
one’s debut as conductor in “Orfeo and Euridice” and “Il matrimonio segreto” and in Efes
Theater with “Imeneo”.
In 2008 he’s invited in State opera theatre in Istanbul, and started immediately a close
collaboration. From July 2009 he works stably in this Opera hause.
In the same State he makes several concerts with singers as pianist and conductor ( the
most important are a concert cycle for “Adnan Saygun”, one of the most important
composer in Turkey and a tourneé in many cities for Puccini music);
He’s invited regularly in Academies and Cultural centres to make Master class and
Workshop.
In 2007 he received from the Association UNCALM – Torre del Lago in Italy the “Puccini
pries”.
