RENA GULIYEVA ŞAAR

Rana Guliyeva Şaar was born on 08.04.1973 in Baku, Azerbaijan. She completed her primary, secondary and high school education in 'Bulbul School of Music for Gifted Children' and graduated. In 1988, she won the first-place prize in a competition organized in 1988, and in 1991 she graduated from the school with a medal.


Following her graduation from the school, she passed the exam of Uzeyir Hajibeyov Music Academy in the same year and was entitled to enroll in the school. In 1992, she again won first place in a music competition organized within the university. In the same year, she took part in the international youth orchestra organized at İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University as the first violin concertmaster under the direction of conductor Gürer Aykal. Between 1992 and 1995, while continuing her university education, she simultaneously took part in the Azerbaijan Philharmonic Orchestra and served as the 2nd violin group conductor. In 1993, she won 3rd place in the 2nd Azerbaijan Republic Violinists competition. In 1994, she traveled to Malta for a masterclass in violin.


In 1996, she graduated from the Uzeyir Hajibeyov Music Academy with first place, earning the highest achievements that can be obtained. In the same year, she worked as a lecturer at the academy. In 1997, Rana Guliyeva Şaar came to Turkey and started to work as an orchestra artist at Mersin State Opera and Ballet and continues to work at her position uninterruptedly and actively today. During her tenure at MDOB, she has taken part in countless performances and many tours.
