GÜRCAN KUBİLAY

Gürcan Kubilay, born in 1966 in Sarıkamış, completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Izmir. In 1988, he graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts with a degree in Stage Design. His thesis, completed in 1993, focused on the design of W. Shakespeare's 'Othello.' He worked as a designer in various architecture firms and served as an Instructor at Erzurum Atatürk University from 1993 to 1995. From 1993 to 1998, he worked as a guest decorator at the State Theaters, contributing to the set and costume designs for various productions.
In 1999, Gürcan Kubilay began working as a Set Designer at the Antalya State Opera and Ballet, where his first production was 'The Csardas Princess.' Currently, he holds the position of Head Set Designer at the Antalya State Opera and Ballet.
