AYTÜL BÜYÜKSARAÇ

Born in İzmir. At the year of graduation from Izmir Private Turkish College she entered İzmir State Conservatory. Having completed regular 7-year opera major in 5 years, she graduated in 1984 and was appointed as a soloist artist in İzmir State Opera and Ballet(İZDOB).She has played parts in various leading roles in performances staged at İZDOB such as 'Czaar und Zimmermann', 'La Traviata', 'L'elisir d'amore', 'Rigoletto', 'Lucia di Lammermoor', 'Il Barbiere Di Siviglia', 'La Boheme', 'DonPasquale', 'Die Entführung aus dem Serail', 'Faust', 'Le nozze di Figaro', 'Don Giovanni', 'Les contes d'Hoffmann', 'Magic Flute', 'Fidelio', 'Falstaff', 'Il turco in Italia', 'Idomeneo', 'Yusuf and Züleyha', 'Aşk-ı Memnu' , 'Ariadne auf Naxos', 'Romeo and Juliette', 'Otello', 'Turandot' also in operettas such as 'Das Land des Lächelns' and 'Die Fledermaus.' She has sang soprano parts of Carmina Burana, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Mozart and Verdi's Requiem, Paulus and Yunus Emre oratorios. She has sang and recorded Turkish Military Symphony by Çetin Işıközlü, with the accompany of Bilkent Symphony Orchestra.She has also given successful performances in Istanbul and Ankara State Opera and Ballet houses as guest artist. Büyüksaraç was invited to 19th International Istanbul Festival by Aydın Gün, and performed Constanze for Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail at Topkapı Palace with world wide renown singers. She was appointed in many concerts as soloist including Presidential Symphony, Cemal Reşit Rey Symphony, Bilkent Symphony,İstanbul,İzmir,Antalya and Bursa State Sympohny Orchestras. She has participated in South Korea tour which was realized by İzmir State Symphony Orchestra in 1996 and in 'Friendship Concerts' realized by Istanbul Symphony Orchestra together with Athens Symphony Orchestra as a soloist artist. She performed 'Die Entführung asu dem Serail', 'The Magic Flute', 'Lucia di Lammermoor', 'Romeo and Juliette' operas at Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival. She has given a recital at Ephesus-Celcius Library with bass Atilla Manizade within the frame of 10th International İzmir Festival. She sang soprano parts in Turkish premiere of Paulus oratorio at Ephehus Ancient Theatre within the same festival. Having participated in many events in international arena, she has taken part in various opera performances and given numerous concerts in Moscow(Russia), Burgaz(Bulgaria), Montevideo(Uruguay), Kisinev(Moldova), Ohrid(Macedonia), Mexico City(Mexico), Munich, Osnabruck, Marl, Duisburg(Germany), Baku(Azerbaijan), Marrakech(Morocco), Lefkosia, Kyrineia(Cyprus), Gijon(Spain). In 2001 she completed her masters degree in Stage Arts Department of Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory and served as Administrative and Artistic Director of Izmir State Opera and Ballet between 1995-2001. She has pursued her art career in İstanbul State Opera and Ballet between 2001-2003 and played leading parts in 'La Traviata', 'Rigoletto', 'Don Giovanni', 'Verdi Requiem' staged in Istanbul. Returning to Izmir in 2003, Aytül Büyüksaraç continues her duty at Izmir State Opera and Ballet as well as serving as a lecturer at İzmir State Conservatory Opera major and Yaşar University Music major. Having been re-appointed at İzmir State Opera and Ballet as the Administrative and Artistic Director on 30th of November 2007, Büyüksaraç has been continuing her mentioned duty to present. She has been awarded with 'The Most Succesful Opera Artist 2007' by Istanbul Çırağan Lions Club and with'Ferhan Onat' special award in 2010 by Semiha Berksoy Opera Foundation.
