The work's composer is Orhan Öner Özcan and text by Murat Göksu. Its first version was completed in 2011 and the same year its World premiere was performed at Samsun State Opera and Ballet. It bears the title of being the first classical work dedicated to Atatürk within Republic history. Its revised version held its World premiere on November 10th, 2015 at Mersin State Opera and Ballet.
The work is composed for four soloists of soprano, mezzo soprano, tenor and baritone, an extended chorus and orchestra. It starts with the variation of military taps sound. The struggles in pre-republic period and the darkness are followed by tenor aria as the harbinger of the birth of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Then the mothers' longing for their sons who are gone to Turkish War of Independence, the love they feel for their country is told by the aria of mezzo-soprano. The part where quartet is followed by chorus aims to remind the awareness of the light which is completed with the expressions: 'If you wish to know', 'Don't hesitate, call out my name!', 'My name is Mustafa, my name is Kemal, my name is Atatürk'. In response to this part, tenor's aria 'I wish to know' and soprano's aria 'You already know!' follow. The part where chorus tells times before and after Atatürk's presence is followed by the leader's death moment, his pulse and the moment it stops with a dramatic sound played by the orchestra. In the last part where the horn that is heard every 10th of November, our leader is bid farewell and will forever be remembered with his revolutions. The last words of the work are the ones we hear in the middle part as well where the question of the soloists is answered by chorus as 'Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK'.
