AYKUT L. ÖZER

AYKUT LEVENT OZER is a Turkish dancer, creator and performing artist.


He was born in Ankara in 1986.


He successfully completed his education at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Performing Arts, Ballet Art Major, Ballet Dance Department in 2008.


He made his stage debut with the role of 'Puss in Boots' in Puss in Boots Ballet staged by the Ankara State Opera and Ballet. Since then, he has been working as a leading actor, soloist, and corps de ballet within the provincial directorates of Ankara State Opera and Ballet (2007-2010), Antalya State Opera and Ballet (2010-2019), and Ankara State Opera and Ballet Directorate (2019- ) within the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet.


Among these, he has performed in classical ballet, modern dance and neoclassical works.

SYNC, Carmina Burana, Anna Karanina, Don Quixote, Giselle, La Bayadere, The Nutcracker, The Zorba, Puss in Boots, West Side Story, Anatolian Magic, TangOpera, This Is Your Life, Life and Tango, BackStage, Harem, Cesmebası, Salome, Guldestan, Mevlana's Call, The Hope-L.V.Beethowen Night, Judith, Aspendos Love of the Centuries, Aheste Beste, V.Murad, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sacra-Spring Rite, Barbarossa.


In 2013, he worked with Mehmet Balkan on Master Class-Mastery Training and Choreography.


In 2014, he took part in the work PANOROMA in the repertoire of the Martha Graham Dance Company, which was held in cooperation with the United States Embassy and IKSEV. He later was granted a scholarship by the same company upon the invitation of artistic directors Janet Eilber and LaRue Allen. During the Intensive Winter Program, he took part in the stage performances and workshops of Panorama, The Rite of Spring, Echo,Errand, Clytemnestra in New York.


Among the choreographers he has worked with are Binnaz Dorkip, Mehmet Balkan, Janet Eilber, LaRue Allen, Uğur Seyrek, Timur Ratlas, Whitney V. Hunter, Penny Diamantopoulou, Lone K. Larsen, and Risima Risimkin.


He choreographed the adult play 'Liar' (Carlo Goldoni) and the children's play 'Peace Flower' (Şahin Örgel), which are the repertoire plays of the General Directorate of State Theatres in Turkey, Antalya State Theatre.


He continues to perform his art as a ballet artist within the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Directorate staff.
