AYŞEGÜL KARKINER

Ayşegül KARKINER, was born in 1974 Gaziantep, graduated from Mimar Sinan University Dept. of Performing Art with the highest degree in 1994. She worked with performers of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, as in order, Ayhan BARAN, Azra GÜN and Payam KORYAK. In 2001, she performed Soprano solo party of W.A. Mozart's Cornuns Messe, at Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, at M.S.U.. Also in the same year, she won Mansion Honor at Siemens Vocal competition. From 2002 to 2004, she got scholarship from Academy of Vocal Arts, at Philadelphia, USA. During her stay, she attended master classes of VERRETT, Sir Thomas ALLEN, Jose Van DAME, Fedora BARBIERI and worked with Tom KRAUSE. She also continued her vocal studies with Ruth GOLDEN. She performed Pamina cast of W.A. Mozart's Magic Flute, at Centennial Hall and Academy of Vocal Arts, Christopher MACATROTIS as the conductor. As she returned TURKEY by 2005, she qualified for State Vocal Performer and as in order, she performed Irene in Donizetti's Belisario in 2005, First Lady in Magic Flute of W.A. Mozart in 2006, Chrysothemis in Strauss' Elektra in 2007, and Pamina in Magic Flute of W.A. Mozart in 2008. Also in 'Respect to the Masters' concert series, organized by IDOBALE, she performed as soloist for the part dedicated to Ayhan BARAN. She took part in Puccini's La Boheme as Mimi.
