Evren Eksi studied Opera Singing at Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory as a student of Saadet Ikesus Altan and was graduated in 1995. A year later she was admitted as a graduate student at Munich Richard Strauss Conservatory where she studied singing technique & interpretation with Prof. Julie Kaufmann, and interpretation with Donald Sultzen, for two years. Evren Eksi graduated in 1998 and earned her degree with highest grade. Same year she returned to Turkey and was employed as a soloist in Istanbul State Opera. Shortly after she made her debut as Nedda (Pagliacci-R. Leoncavallo) later to be followed by the Antonia role (Les Contes d'Hoffmann-J. Offenbach). Since then she has successfully sung as Gilda (Rigoletto-G. Verdi), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel-E. Humperdinck ), Mimi (La Bohème-G. Puccini) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni-W.A. Mozart), Cio-Cio San (Madama Butterfly-G. Puccini), Micaëla (Carmen-G. Bizet), Aida (Aida-G. Verdi), Violetta (La Traviata-G. Verdi) and The Woman (La Voix Humaine F. Poulenc). Eksi, who has performed numerous times both in Turkey and abroad, had previously sung as Antonia at Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival back in 1999. She appeared as Madama Butterfly (2004) and Aida (2008) again at the same festival. Messa da Requiem (G.Verdi), Yunus Emre (A. Saygun) and 9. Symphony (L. van Beethoven) are among the works in which she sang.
